Cancellation Protection

If a participant suffers from an unforeseen illness or injury that makes participation impossible, you can get a refund on presentation of a doctor's certificate if you bought our Cancellation Protection at the time of booking. The Cancellation Protection applies only to the participant, i.e. the person swimming, and not to the person responsible. That means it does not apply if, for example, a parent becomes ill.

The Cancellation Protection costs SEK 200 and is paid when booking the course. The protection applies if illness or injury prevents the participant from participating in at least half of the course lessons. A medical certificate explaining why the participant cannot attend swimming school/water training is required. The medical certificate must clearly refer to the time period the participant cannot attend regular course sessions. The cost of the lessons that the certificate refers to is what you can get back.

When you have booked a course with Linnéas Swimming School, you have the right to cancel your booking with a full refund up to 2 weeks before the first lesson. A later cancellation does not result in a refund regardless of the reason. This is because we have the same costs for staff, pool and so on regardless of whether the course participant shows up or not, i.e. if the place is unfilled.

If someone else can take the place and pay for it to the same extent before 2 course sessions have passed, we can possibly help administer this. An administrative fee of SEK 150 is deducted from the refund.

In the event of missed lessons, we offer our swimmers the possibility to book make-up swims ("Återsim"). Make-up Swims do not cost any extra, they are free of charge. A Make-up Swim can be booked up to 6 months after the missed lesson. Make-up Swims is not something that you have a "right to", but an extra service that we want to offer our swimmers when we can. No medical certificate is needed on these occasions. You do not need to report occasional cases of illness or other absences to the swimming school because the instructor registers absence in the water. Make-up Swims can bebooked via My Pages.

If you have booked a Make-up Swim that you cannot attent, it must be canceled on My Pages no later than 12 hours prior, otherwise it will be counted as spent.
